My Strength Is Her Strength: The Beautiful Art of Positive Practical Parenting for Girls With ADHD

by Leslie K. Brown

Your daughter's ADHD should never hold her back: discover how you can use your own parenting power to feed her inner strength.

Did you know that Emma Watson was diagnosed with inattentive ADHD while she was filming for Harry Potter?

Idolized as Hermione by children and respected by teens for her activism and advocacy, Emma Watson is an inspiration to girls of all ages… and everything she’s achieved, she’s managed alongside her ADHD.

She’s the perfect role model for girls with ADHD -- a group who often find themselves marginalized and misunderstood. And if you’re a parent to one of these girls, the chances are, you face many struggles you never expected to face as a parent.

How many times have you looked for help, only to find that resources are targeting externalized symptoms like hyperactivity and acting out?

But your daughter’s ADHD manifests differently. Her symptoms are more internalized. Perhaps she’s anxious and withdrawn, she has trouble focusing, or she appears not to be listening.

All too often, these girls are overlooked.

So how can you help them fit into a world that seems to not be designed for them?

The answer starts with yourself: through arming yourself with knowledge about ADHD in girls, you can help your daughter navigate the world and let her brightest qualities shine.

Because all those quirks her ADHD gives her can be advantages if she’s guided and taught to harness their power.

It’s not about forcing her to fit into a neurotypical mold: it’s about teaching her how to use her strengths and skills to find her own place within the world.

By strengthening your own understanding of how ADHD affects your daughter through each stage of development, you can fortify her with the skills she needs to be a brilliant and inspirational young woman.

In My Strength Is Her Strength, you’ll find a complete guide to parenting girls with ADHD and building your own strength in order to feed hers. You’ll discover:

  • A fundamental understanding of ADHD and how it manifests differently in girls and boys
  • Why early intervention is crucial for girls with ADHD -- and how you can spot the signs early
  • The underlooked strengths ADHD can give children -- and how you can help your daughter identify hers
  • A closer look at the challenges your daughter will face at each stage of development -- and how you can support her from preschool straight to her high school graduation
  • How positive parenting can be your superpower (and exactly how you can make sure it is)
  • How to use the ‘Fix You First’ strategy for parenting children with ADHD
  • Puberty, sexuality, and social media -- a clear guide to navigating the sensitive side of parenting teenage girls with ADHD
  • Common coexisting conditions in girls with ADHD (because knowledge is power)
  • A comprehensive guide to seeking help and support at any stage of your parenting journey
  • 3 fundamental areas where a routine is essential -- and how you can establish lifelong healthy habits from a young age

If you’re worrying about your daughter’s future, you can rest assured that she has the same chance of success as her neurotypical peers -- and she even has some unique character traits that can put her one step ahead of the game… if she knows how to use them.

By learning how to build a strong, positive approach to parenting, you can nurture your daughter and watch her flourish every step of the way.

ADHD isn’t a disability. It’s simply a different operating system… and together, you and your daughter can learn to harness its power.

Smartphones have transformed the world with their convenience and capabilities. A single small device can replace a landline, camera, CD player, and road map—but all of this miraculous technology comes with a cost.

The dark side of smartphones is not always so obvious. Checking your phone constantly from dawn until dusk has become normalized, and most people don’t realize they’re trapped in a very real addiction.

Smartphones have particularly powerful effects on our children, making them shallow, depressed, and unable to think critically. They exercise less, rarely socialize, get worse grades, and have lower self-esteem. In the most severe cases, they may even take their own lives.

Despite how common this addiction is, it is possible to overcome. The Smartphone Addiction Restriction is a guide for those who see the danger of the situation. We may not be able to quit using smartphones entirely, but with this tested and proven plan, we can limit their activity to the most essential uses.

In The Smartphone Addiction Restriction, you’ll learn:

  • The way that smartphones were designed to be not just entertaining but addictive

  • Why smartphone users spend over five years of their lives swiping and clicking

  • A multiple-choice test to determine your personal level of addiction

  • All the things you’ll have time for when you use your cell phone less

  • Tips and techniques to fight the urge to reach for your cell phone when your cravings hit

  • A step-by-step, day-by-day plan to reduce (or eliminate) your smartphone usage

And much more!

You can’t live life to the fullest while you’re staring at your phone. Even though smartphones are incredibly addictive, you—and your children—can break free of this dangerous habit. When you put down your phone, you’ll find yourself happier, more confident, energized, and actually smarter! Positive Toddler Discipline: Proven Strategies to Tame Tantrums and Nurture Their Developing Mind

by Laura Hall

Are you at your wit’s end with your toddler? Read on to discover how you can tame your little monster.

In children between the ages of 1 and 5, temper tantrums are common, and up to 83% of 2-4 year olds have them regularly.

No matter how well you know that this is an important part of their development, it can take its toll when you’re facing yet another meltdown about the carrots being the wrong shape.

Do any of the below sound familiar?

  • Refusing to get dressed
  • Screaming blue murder because you asked them to put their shoes on
  • Throwing their breakfast on the floor because the spoon’s the wrong color
  • Inconsolable tears because the cat went outside

Every parent goes through this. Toddlers are at a stage where they are developing their independence and pushing boundaries, and they have more feelings than they can understand or express.

How many times have you given in to them for the sake of a quiet life?

Most parents have, and if you’ve done it, you know that it doesn’t help you out in the long term.

So how can you handle your toddler’s tantrums in a way that minimizes damage, ends the drama as quickly as possible, and sets your child on the road to being a confident, happy child?

The answer lies within positive discipline, a behavioral management technique that reduces the drama and allows you to set clear boundaries your toddler will understand.

All too often, we resort to punishments, but time and time again, research has shown us that this is useless.

Positive discipline is built around empathizing with your child, giving them space to feel their feelings, and helping them find solutions to their problems.

By rejecting traditional discipline models of reward and punishment, you can create mutual respect between you and your child, improving their confidence and self-esteem for life.

In Positive Toddler Discipline: Proven Strategies to Tame Tantrums and Nurture Their Developing Mind, you’ll find everything you need to know about managing your toddler’s tantrums. Here’s just a taste of what you’ll discover:

  • Where the idea of positive discipline comes from--and why it works
  • The key reasons why your toddler is pushing your buttons
  • The secret weapon to taming your child for good
  • The #1 mistake every parent makes when talking to their toddler, and what you should be doing instead
  • Why the language you use matters, as well as which type of words your child will respond best to
  • How to set helpful consequences without resorting to punishment
  • Practical tips to use in the face of a major meltdown
  • blueprint for navigating daily routines with a toddler

And much more.

If you thought drama was an inevitable part of parenting a toddler, think again.

Positive discipline has been proven effective by childcare professionals and focuses on a deep understanding of toddler psychology.

By adopting its key principles, you will be able to reduce the stress in your household and keep your cool every time your toddler has a meltdown.

Stop allowing your child to rule the house--it’s time to get some structure and peace back into your life.

Who Let the Old Fart in the Classroom?: Why Globalism, Socialism and Environmentalism Won't Work

by Robert Taft

A book your professor doesn't want you to read.

Why? Because a liberal institution, Orama University, makes the mistake of letting Leonard Whittle, a conservative capitalist, into a series of courses on globalism. The courses literally envelop the globe, from socialism and to environmentalism, the United Nations and to the European Union, the business-government cabal to Saul Alinsky and Herbert Marcuse, the New left of the 1960s to the New Left of today, the marginalization of America to the China-Russia anti-West vision of globalism...and, of course, globalism – that is the Western version of it – itself. Poor Leonard is pitted against faculty and students alike as he tramples on the progressive views of ivory-tower professors and ignites debates on many modern collegiate issues, like micro- aggressions, identity politics, multiple sex categories, George Soros' control of just about everything and much more. The comparison of socialism here and in Venezuela is stark as is the collision course between preserving the environment and socialist goals. If the reader doesn't agree with Leonard's view...all of which are backed by fact...at least he or she will have much food for thought.
