Can a robotic man, a trigger-happy mechanical cat, a bounty hunter with a killer energy sword and an attitude to match, with others helping along the way, save their planet from destruction?
In the year 2132, Earth is under siege by an invasion of robotic aliens known as the Ribiyar. The remaining military forces, calling themselves the Defenders, are desperately fighting to protect their planet, knowing it is only a matter of time before they are overrun. They send a vessel, the U.S.S. Ocean-Walker, on a mission to take out the Ribiyar forces entrenched in the Atlantic Ocean, no matter the cost.
In a place isolated from conflict, a submarine is marooned at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, trapped under the wreckage of another vessel that was destroyed at the start of the invasion. With supplies quickly depleting and time running out, her captain partakes in a dangerous procedure in the hopes that he can save his crew before it is too late.
As the stakes of the war continue to rise, and all hope seems to be lost, a warrior is born within the chaos of desperation and bravery. A warrior that just might have the strength to turn the tide of the war and defeat the aliens that threaten to destroy humanity.

You have two options. You die, or you Qualify.
The year is 2047. An extinction-level asteroid is hurtling toward Earth, and the descendants of ancient Atlantis have returned from the stars in their silver ships to offer humanity help.
But there’s a catch.
They can only take a tiny percent of the Earth’s population back to the colony planet Atlantis. And in order to be chosen, you must be a teen, you must be bright, talented, and athletic, and you must Qualify.
Sixteen-year-old Gwenevere Lark is determined not only to Qualify but to rescue her entire family.
Because there’s a loophole.
If you are good enough to Qualify, you are eligible to compete in the brutal games of the Atlantis Grail, which grants all winners the laurels, high tech luxuries, and full privileges of Atlantis Citizenship. And if you are in the Top Ten, then all your wildest wishes are granted… Such as curing your mother’s cancer.
There is only one problem.
Gwen Lark is known as a klutz and a nerd. While she’s a hotshot in classics, history, science, and languages, the closest she’s come to sports is a backyard pool and a skateboard.
This time she is in over her head, and in for a fight of her life, against impossible odds and world-class competition—including Logan Sangre, the most amazing guy in her school, the one she’s been crushing on, and who doesn’t seem to know she exists.
Because every other teen on Earth has the same idea.
You Qualify or you die.
A Terrifying Power. A Horrifying Curse.

For an immortal, learning what it means to be human can be an emotional wild ride.
Having put down the latest batch of escaped doppelgängers, Sere Mal-Laurette felt she’d earned a little time off from demon hunting. She was wrong.

With the hot ex-Navy SEAL’s blood and soul infecting her, Sere has no choice but to jump back on her motorcycle to rescue him. Her quest will cost her dearly but also bring her closer to being human than she could have imagined.

What separates Empty Bodies from other zombie books?
I don't want to give anything away, but the inciting incident as to what sparked thousands of people to turn into zombies (or Empties as they are called in the books), is a different twist on zombies from anything that I've seen in other books or movies. Readers have found it to be very refreshing.
What inspired the story?
Other than my love for The Walking Dead and the George Romero zombie films, the idea was sparked by two employees at my day job who like to sleep in one of our company's offices on their lunch break. We work in a 50,000 square foot industrial warehouse, and one day I just said to myself, 'I wonder what would happen if he woke up and the rest of us had turned into zombies.' And thus, Empty Bodies was born.
What can readers expect out of reading the Empty Bodies series?
I feel like I've written characters that you can either root for or hate, depending on which character we are talking about. The settings are all places I'm very familiar with, so they should feel very real. If you're a fan of The Walking Dead, movies like Dawn of the Dead, 28 Days Later, World War Z, or even books such as Slow Burn, Contamination, or Zombie Fallout, then I think you'll really enjoy Empty Bodies.

Many teenagers struggle to find their identity, but for Taliesin Weaver, that struggle has become life or death--and not just for him. Tal, as he prefers to be called, believes in reincarnation, and with good reason. When he turned twelve, his mind was nearly shattered by a flood of memories, memories of his past lives, hundreds of them. Somehow, Tal managed to pull himself together and even to make good use of the lessons learned and skills developed in those previous lives. He even had the ability to work magic--literally--and there was no denying that was cool. No, his life wasn't perfect, but he was managing.
Now, four years later, his best friend, Stan, has begun to suspect his secret, and Stan isn't the only one. Suddenly, Tal is under attack from a mysterious enemy and under the protection of an equally mysterious friend whose agenda Tal can't quite figure out. An apparition predicts his death. A shapeshifter disguised as Stan attacks him. An old adversary starts acting like a friend. He and some other students get hurled into Annwn (the Otherworld), face Morgan Le Fay, and only just barely get back alive--and that’s just during the first month of school!
By now Tal knows he is not the only one who can work magic and certainly not the only one who can remember the past. He realizes there is something that he is not remembering, something that could save his life or end it, some reason for the attacks on him that, as they escalate, threaten not only him but everyone he loves as well. In an effort to save them, he will have to risk not only his life, but even his soul.
