Lost in Light
Lost in Light
by TW Williams
Caden and Elena, high school sweethearts, are facing a bittersweet moment as they prepare to attend different colleges. Their love for each other is strong, and they’re determined to make their relationship work despite the distance that lies ahead. However, fate has other plans in store, and they soon find themselves separated by light-years.
Elena is unexpectedly kidnapped by a Minotaur race and transported to a solar system that mirrors our own. There, they task her with an immense responsibility: to help the Minotaurs defeat a race that thrives on a volcanic world, a daunting challenge that weighs heavily on her heart.
Meanwhile, Caden is whisked away to a near-Earth planet called Probit. The immortal race known as the Amari has a prophecy that only he can fulfill to save their world. As he embarks on this extraordinary journey, Caden comes to a shocking realization—he is not human but belongs to a unique race called Tackers, who possess the ability to become invisible and fly in space. Each believes their ultimate mission is to reunite, though each setback makes that hope feel increasingly distant.
Both Caden and Elena face incredible challenges that push the boundaries of their imaginations. Caden undergoes a profound transformation into a Tacker, bravely battling an evil immortal named Edgy Roll and supporting Zoot, the leader of the Amari, in his quest to protect his world from an alien invasion, even as he grapples with his refusal to accept Zoot’s assistance in various moments, revealing his inner conflict.
Elena, on the other hand, endures a heartbreaking fate when her soul becomes separated from her body to aid the Minotaurs in their fight. She embarks on a perilous journey for her earthly form but a liberating one for her spirit, always wondering if she will ever reunite with her body and the life she once knew.
In their separate worlds filled with adventure, uncertainty, and the weight of their destinies, the question lingers: Will they ever find their way back to each other, and more importantly, will they be able to reclaim their authentic selves once more?
